We built MySDStays to be the better middle path: two privately owned, fully furnished homes in two of the city's best neighborhoods — Hillcrest and the Gaslamp Quarter — that you book directly with us, the owners.
Every stay is genuinely move-in ready. You arrive to a made bed, a stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, fresh towels, and everything you'd expect at home. There's a 31-night minimum, so these homes are set up for people living in San Diego for a while — not weekend visitors.

Relocating to San Diego
Moving to a new city is enough work without signing a 12-month lease on a neighborhood you've never lived in. Use one of our homes as a soft landing: a comfortable, furnished base while you learn the city, commute to your new job, and find the right permanent place. Stay in Hillcrest to feel out the walkable uptown villages, or downtown in the Gaslamp Quarter to be in the middle of it all — then decide where you actually want to plant roots. We're local owners, so ask us anything about neighborhoods, schools, or where to actually get groceries.
Remote Work & Workations
Both homes have a dedicated workspace, fast Wi-Fi, and quiet spots for video calls — they were set up by Gerardine, a tech professional and former full-time digital nomad, so the things remote workers actually need aren't an afterthought. Trade your home office for a few months near the coast, run your week from a real desk (not a hotel bed), and explore San Diego on your evenings and weekends. We're happy to provide an itemized invoice if your company covers a remote-work or housing stipend.

Sometimes you just need a great place to land for a while: a home remodel that ran long, a lease gap, a separation, time with family, or a sabbatical.
